Cast : Pawan Kalyan, Samantha, Nadia, Pranitha, Rao Ramesh, Boman Irani, Ali and Brahmanandam.

Music : Devi Sri Prasad

Director : Trivikram Srinivas

Pawan Kalyan delivers in grand style :

The hype and expectations from this movie were intense no doubt. It was only a matter of when the Trivikram-Pawan combo would deliver the goods rather than if. As everybody hoped, AD is complete entertainer and on its way to becoming a blockbuster.

Plot :

Raghu Nanda (Boman Irani), is a wealthy businessman in Milan. The heir to his business and his grandson is our hero, Gowtham Nanda (Pawan Kalyan). Raghu Nanda also has a daughter Sunanda (Nadia), who was forced to seperate from her family because she decided to marry against her fathers wishes. Now, at a ripe old age, Raghu Nanda is repentant and wants his daughter back, to see his family complete again. Even though clueless as to how he can convince her, Gowtham takes on the challenge of bringing back his ‘Attha’.

By a series of coincidences, Gowtham enters Sunanda’s household as Siddhu, a driver. The rest of the story is about how he manages to convince his aunt to return.

Movie highs :

    *   As everyone expects, the greatest plus points of the movie are the dialogues penned by Trivikram.

    *   Powerstar Pawan Kalyan delivers an electrifying performance. This performance of Gowtham Nanda is probably the best character he has done in his career so far. The good-natured spoilt brat may be an old character for Pawan, but his presentation of Gowtham Nanda was very fresh and inspired.

    *   Trivikram’s dialogues, Pawan Kalyan’s extraordinary acting and dialogue delivery, combined with an airtight script, take the movie to greater heights.

    *   The songs and background score, by DSP, have been a huge asset to the movie. Particularly, Ninnu Chudagane and Katama Raayuda were brilliant.

    *   Nadia as the typical arrogant aunt, Rao Ramesh as the timid husband and Mukesh Rishi as the frustrated brother, added a lot of layers to the script.

    *   Samantha and Pranitha too were perfectly suited for their roles.

    *   Brahmanandam in a never before seen avatar. A truly memorable comedy sequence was penned that will probably go on to be as popular as the ‘Antakshari scene’ from Gabbar Singh.

    *   Absolutely stylish picturisation of the fight sequences.

Movie lows :

    *   An actor of Mukesh Rishi’s talent was under utilized. Even Posani had forgettable impact on the movie.

    *   The narrative switches to Chittoor for the popular ‘Chudappa Sidappa’ sequence. However, this does seem forced.

    *   Brahmanandam’s most interesting avatar yet, does stretch on for a little longer than required. This affected the flow of the story a little bit. They did manage to make up for by being absolutely hilarious.

Absolute Peak sequences :

    *   Title song, ‘Aaradugula Bullet’.

    *   The frustrated banter between Ali and Pawan Kalyan.

    *   ’Ninnu Chudagane’ song.

    *   The most ultimate scene however, has to be the climax sequence. Emotions, sentiments, ego’s and lastly, a lesson for everyone, all these elements were amalgamated brilliantly.

Verdict :

Must Watch. Definitely should go to the movie for a memorable 168 minutes. Better yet, take your entire family with you.

Rating : 4/5

Closing word : The festival season has started early for Pawan Kalyan fans.
