Jandhyala Veera Venkata Durga Siva Subramanya Sastry popularly konwn as Jandhyala and Hasya Brahma. He is the one who introduced a completely new genre, i.e.., Comedy Entertainers to the Telugu Cinema. Hence, he is greeted as “Hasya Brahma“. He has redefined the humor with his mark dialogues and with farce scripts. No one can simply use the classical abusing words in a funny and impressive style unless, his name is Jandhyala.

Jandhyala hails from Narasapuram of West Godavari District and was Born on14th January 1951.  He graduated with a bachelors in commerce from SRR and CVR College in Vijayawada. He never wanted to step into the film industry, but inadvertently when he met senior actor Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, Jandhyala was suggested to become story writer and  with the support from K. Vishwanath he entered Tollywood and from there on there was no turning back.

Jandhyala garu, is the brain beyond Kala Tapaswi K.Viswanath’s “Shankarabharanam”, an all time Indian Evergreen Classical film and a science-fiction story “Aditya-369″, directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. He uttered many unknown words through his pen in his films and left his mark over them. He is a versatile personality that Telugu Cinema is gifted with, He is an actor, director, story writer, dubbing artist and what not. Each one of his films is a masterpiece itself and he is the master for the piece. He introduced many top comedian like Naresh, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Sutthi Veerabhadra Rao, Subbaraya Sharma,Potti Prasad etc., who are not only brilliant comedians but also fantastic actors.

He is the only director in Telugu film industry who gave a decent rib tickling comedy with innovative ideas. Who can dare  or think of shaping a  ”Titla Dhandakam” into song , other than Jandhyala garu. He is the inspiration for many directors and tinsel town personalities. E.V.V Satyanarayana, who delivered many comedy entertainers like Jambalakadi Bambha, Hello Brother, Yevadi Goala Vadidhi, Kithakithalu is a disciple of Legendary Jandhyala garu.
