Tollywood Top film-maker D. Ramanaidu who was suffering from prostate cancer died in hyderabad today. He was 78. He is survived by wife and three children. His last rites are expected to perform on Thursday. Telugu film industry shocked by the sudden demise of Ramanaidu, who one of the veteren producer and Dada Saheb Award winner.
Daggubati Ramanaidu was a multilingual Indian film producer, founder of Suresh Productions. He holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the most films produced by any individual producer and he produced more than 150 films in 13 indian languages. He started his career in 1963 with movie Anuragam and produced more than 150 fims. His recent films include Gopala Gopala, Drishyam, Masala and many more.
He was conferred with many awards and accolades which includes Padma Bhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke Award and many other Nandi Awards. He also served as MP for a constituency in Guntur district, where he lost for the same seat.
The sudden demise of Ramanaidu startled total Indian film industry. Several high profile dignitaries, actors and actresses are pouring condolences through different medium of approach.
