Masala off the screen :

Remakes are not new for Venkatesh, he is the hero in Tollywood who acted in highest number of remakes. After failure of Shadow he opted to remake the Bollywood comedy entertainer Bol Bachchan joining his hands with Ram. Finally, how this Ganesh duo (Both the heroes in this movie acted in a movie titled Ganesh) created the magic should be watched on screen .

 

Masala on the Screen :

Balaram (Venkatesh) is a big land lord in a village who hates lies. Rahman (Ram) with his sister Sania (Anjali) enters the village as they lost all their ancestral properties legally and joins as the employ under Balaram. Situations turns too worse which leads to the series of lies by Rahman putting in too many troubles.  The way he overcame from those problems is the rest of the story.

 

Taste of Masala :

Masala is completely Venkatesh‘s IMAX perfomance through out. He excelled again with his comedy after a long time.  His combination scenes with Ram were rib tickling through out. Interval block need special mention  which turns completely hilarious. But, the main problem is the direction lagged in some sequences which put the movie to feel some boredom. Climax affected the mood of audience which affected the result of the movie. Background music is just average and songs are not up to the mark.

 

Artist’s Progress Report :

 

• Venkatesh came up with comic role after a long time with his foul English. He is the main asset of this flick. No doubt its nothing but a hair standing performance of Venkatesh for his comedy in recent times .

• Ram improved a lot as an actor.  He is good in his parts .

• Anjali is decent  and Shahjan Padhamsee is  good in  their scenes .

• Ali, Jaya Prakash Reddy, MS Narayana are hilarious .

Conclusion :

Finally, Masala is for comedy lovers and for time pass. Better keep away about logic and story.
